ALANNA KENNEDY

From Your Biggest Fans

Your kindness and thoughtfulness on and off the pitch are two of the many things I admire about you, you literally have a heart of gold. I think the thing about you that impresses me the most is that you are still so young but have already accomplished so much in your career that sometimes people forget that you’re only 25. At only 25, so many young players already look up to you and you never fail to be an incredible role model. I am so proud to rep your name and #14 on the back of my jersey. I’m so excited to see you become one of the best center backs in the world one day and for everyone to appreciate the amazing person I know you are. -- Myra

I have been your fan since I became a Pride fan. You play with such self-confidence and you scored so many fantastic goals for the Pride. The freekicks, the bycicle goal or the one from midfield against the spirit. Although being this young, with the experience you already have, you are so important for the team. I saw you play at the WWC vs. Brasil. I was so excited when you came over after the game and signed my poster. You care for us fans and we care for you, so keep up with the training and stay healthy. The Pride will need you once it will be time to show again what an amazing player you are.—Kerstin

The Pride is so lucky to have you! Not only are you one of the most talented athletes, but you are also one of the kindest and wholesome people as well. I love that even when times are rough on this team you seem to always give it your all and do it with a smile on your face. I am sad that you weren’t able to play for the Pride this season, but cannot wait to watch and support you play in the future! - Danielle

I’ve been a fan of yours ever since you first started playing for the Australian national team, so I can’t even put into words how pumped I was when you joined the Pride. The things you’ve already accomplished at your age are amazing and it makes me so excited to see what else your career has in store for you. You are part of the absolute heart and soul of this club and the love you have for the team and your teammates is obvious on and off the field. Not only are you talented but you also come across as a very genuine and kind person. I’m bummed that this season turned out the way it did, but I cannot wait to see you back on the field, wearing purple and scoring bicycle goals for us in 2021. - Dani

Sometimes, when I think of all that you’ve done, I can’t believe that you’re still only 25. Somehow, you’re equally, amazingly talented at defense and offense. You’re such a core member of this team that I can’t even begin to imagine it without you. Off the pitch, it’s obvious that you have such a big heart and I consider myself lucky to be able to say that you ply for my favorite team. I can’t wait to see you back in purple when the opportunity finally arises. I know you’ll kill it, as per usual. Sending love! --Ana Lise

I will forever be thankful that I get to say you are on the Orlando Pride. You have easily become one of my favorite players to watch. My favorite goal of yours is when you scored with a bicycle kick. The shock on your face and the excitement from the crowd and your teammates is one of the best moments for me. Your energy and personality are so contagious and as a pride fan it is so nice to see through the squad. This year so far has not been the best sports wise or in general, but I know when you are able to play again, I will definitely be watching and cheering you on. Whether you are in yellow and green, sky blue, or purple, any time zone I will be watching. Can’t wait to see you back on the pitch with the best card reactions in the game. Love you so much. -Liv

Alanna, You have always been a player I admired and looked up to, and it has been such a joy to watch you play for the pride. You are such a beautiful person inside and out and the world needs more people like you. Thank you for being such an incredible role model for girls everywhere. I’m so sorry this season was canceled, I know it must be heartbreaking but there is no doubt in my mind that you will all come back better and stronger. Sending you all the love and support in the world!! Always here to cheer you on. -Allie

I was pretty excited when the news came about you coming to Orlando a couple of years ago and you have quickly become one of my favorite players. I went to a game against the Reign in Tacoma and saw your bicycle kick and I was probably the only Pride fan in my section so that was an experience. I also was so lucky to meet you in Orlando and I was so thankful that you came after I called your name. I can’t wait to see you back in purple and the rest of the team! --Elena

Alanna, I started really following you and the Aussie national team during the 2016 Rio Olympics. I remembered watching how passionate you were during the Brazil game and how heartbroken you were after. After you joined the Pride, I heard so many stories about how kind and humble you were as a player and I became a forever fan. You’re one of the most technical center backs I’ve ever watch play and you score banger goals. I love your passion on the field and your leadership. You have the unique ability to lead like a veteran but still connect with the younger newest players and make them feel included. Can’t wait to see you play soon, hopefully in purple!
