ALEX MORGAN

From Your Biggest Fans

Alex, I have admired you for as long as I can remember and getting to watch you thrive and become the face of women’s soccer has brought me so much joy and pride over the last many years. You have inspired me more than I could ever express and continue to show me and all of the young women out there that it is possible to do anything you put your mind to, and it means so much to have a role model like you. You truly have the most amazing heart and words will truly never be able to express how much you mean to me. I have missed watching you play more than anything, but I am so immensely happy for you and Servando. Charlie is absolutely perfect and she has the most incredible mom out there!!! I’m already so excited to see you back on the pitch whenever it is safe, soccer truly isn’t the same without you. Thank you for always being such a light in this world. Sending your beautiful family so many virtual hugs and support. Love you. -Allie

Alex, you’re one of the most enjoyable players to watch, the talent you have but also your confidence and pride about your accomplishments on the field is inspiring to so many young girls and women. Loved seeing you in the world cup last year not only being a great player but also a great co-captain and all that you did and continue to do in the fight for gender equality. I love your humor and the good vibes you bring to the team and can’t wait to see you back on the field being your amazing self. Congratulations on your adorable baby girl!! – Sara

Alex, where do I start? It may sound cliche, but you’re the reason I even started loving our beautiful game. I was so happy I got to see you play vs Brazil during the 2015 Victory Tour. I even wanted to wear number 13 because of you, but one of my teammates beat me to it. Seeing how confident you were on the ball made me want to be just like you. Your hard work shows for itself; you’ve accomplished so much. You’re an amazing footballer, but an even more amazing person. The way you’ve inspired young women to go for their dreams is amazing, and your work to make sure the next generation of female soccer players have more opportunities shouldn’t go unnoticed. I hope you’re staying safe and healthy throughout these uncertain times. I can’t wait to see you back on the field for both club and country! And congrats on your sweet baby girl Charlie! She’s adorable!! - Lauren

First off, congratulations on baby Charlie (love her middle name as well). You have been one of the most recognizable players in this team and I want to thank you for your commitment to it and just how much you genuinely show that you love this team. I was so excited to see you the few times I’ve been able to go to a game and I was lucky enough to meet you at one of them. Can’t wait to see you back in purple! -- Elena

I don’t even know where to start here, the things you’ve accomplished on and off the field would max out the word count of this message for sure - but maybe by congratulating you on your baby girl! Charlie is the absolute cutest, and it’s wonderful to see you in this new role of a mom. You’re an inspiration to so many around the world and it’s been amazing having you as part of the Pride. It’s an absolute joy to watch you in action wearing purple and even though this year has been nothing like we all expected, I know you’ll help us come back stronger than ever next season. I hope you get to enjoy your time as a new mom to the max! I can’t wait to see you back on the field. - Dani

First, congrats on your baby girl! Charlie is so adorable, and I can’t wait to see her at Pride games in a little Pride jersey cheering you on as much as she can. The 2020 season didn’t go as planned but I was really excited to see you back for maybe a few games in purple if the season happened. A lot of people see you as a force on the national team but I am lucky to be able to see you thrive on the club team that I love. One of my favorite moments on the field of yours is when you scored against the spirit in 2017 with an assist from Catley to make it 3-0. Just seeing the excitement from the team and how you were able to get the ball around the defender to score was classic and so you. Just by doing that you inspire so many people to be their best and to work for doing exactly that. You’re such an amazing human and I hope you are doing good mentally through this time and I can’t wait to see you back playing in front of your daughter in Orlando. We love you endlessly. -Liv

First things first, congratulations on Charlie! She’s adorable, and I hope you, her, and Serv are all doing well. Although you may not have been playing in this season even if it had worked out for Orlando, you must still be feeling the loss, especially since you’ve been with the team for so long. As someone who got into women’s soccer during the 2019 World Cup, I’m so excited to see you play a full season for the Pride! When soccer comes back, and when you come back, I KNOW that you’ll be out on the pitch slaying like the badass mom that you are. And I, for one, cannot wait to see that happen. Sending so much love. --Ana Lise

Alex, I want to start by congratulating you and your husband on Charlie—she is absolutely beautiful, and with a role model like her mom, I just know she is going to grow up to be a total badass. Your grit, tenacity, and heart are evident to anyone who watches you play, but the positive example you’ve set extends far beyond the pitch. Just as kids grew up wanting to be like Mia, Abby, or Kristine, so too will they want to be like Alex. You’re a legend already, and I feel so lucky to have you representing my team for both club AND country. In fact, I remember being so excited after seeing a Sportscenter interview you did right after the Olympics were postponed—you commented that not only did the delay give you an extra year to prepare, but also to give to Orlando Pride. While the season didn’t go the way any of us expected, I cannot wait to see you or your teammates back in purple as soon as it’s safe and healthy. Until then, I’m sending you and your family so much love. -Alana
