I know you get this a lot, but you are truly one of the most inspiring people and athletes. Your confidence not only on the field, but off the field as well inspires me everyday to never give up and to be who I truly am at heart. You are really a unique person and an absolute role model on and off the field. Sharing your story was helpful to so many and not only people with disabilities. While I’ve always viewed you as one of the most inspiring athletes out there, my admiration for you went through the roof last year when we got to see a glimpse of you and little Joseph interacting. The photo of the two of you at the Pride game was absolutely beautiful. It’s clear that you have a lot of love for this team and you bring a confidence and joy to the pitch that’s infectious. This season did not at all go how we all would have wanted it to, but I know that you’ll play an important part in bringing us back up top in 2021. You are absolutely one of my favorite players on the Pride. Your story is so inspiring, and I consider you a role model because of that, because of the way that you show how anyone can do anything, no matter how underestimated they are. My dad still tears up whenever he hears your story, and if you can emotionally move a fifty year old Irishman, you can move just about anybody, right? Not only this, you’re also one of the most talented defenders in the league, and I’m so excited to see you play again.
