You have always been so nice to me since day 1, like the time you told me that I can reach out to you whenever I need to talk about anything. I’ve been a fan of the club since it was founded. I was only 13 back then, so seeing a women’s professional club be born in my hometown inspired me so much to continue playing the game I love. But this club has grown beyond the field. The club veterans like Ashlyn, Toni and Kristen helped build this community from day 1. This team, club and city is so special in so many ways. This is considered home for many of us and we are so proud to support this club. I really hope that we get to see you rep this badge and feel how special of a community we have here in Orlando. During the whole draft I was hoping the Pride would draft you and they did and I was happy for you. I may not know you that well yet (from a fan perspective), but from what I’ve seen in videos and interviews I know you fit perfectly to the Pride. You being able to wear that purple kit got postponed, but YOU WILL wear it next season. The amount of talent you have will be an asset to the team. Courtney, seeing you so excited and happy about joining the Pride on the draft day was so comforting. It made me so excited to see your journey and what you would bring to this team. Courtney, I was so excited when I heard you were coming to the Pride. I was actually in my Neuroscience lecture watching the draft and had to hide my excitement when I heard your name called. Through your posts on Instagram, I’ve been able to see how dedicated you are to this team and get a glimpse of how hard you’ve been working. Hi! First, I hope you're doing okay and are finding ways to take care of yourself mentally and physically right now. You're one of my favorite rookies in the nwsl, and your excitement to play is so contagious and so obvious from your posts! I can't wait to watch you play in purple because you've got it all and leave it all on the field so I think you're a great addition to the team! I know this isn't how you expected the season to go, and I'm sorry this is something you have to go through but keep your head up and you will be back on the field in no time ready to dominate.
