SHELINA ZADORSKY

From Your Biggest Fans

You are one of the nicest and kindest soccer players out there, maybe that’s just the Canadian in you. I’m so happy to know that this club has someone as amazing as you to look up to. I hope you know that your presence and impact on the team doesn’t go unnoticed. Even when the club is going through its toughest times, you always have a positive energy and a smile on your face and I think that speaks to the kind of person you are. I can’t wait to see you back in purple next season and for you to crush it like you always do. -- Myra

I’ve been a longtime fan, prior to your debut in purple. Seeing you in real life for the first time on the Canadian National team when I was 10 years old was a dream- and you had inspired me along my soccer journey ever since. I was so excited to find out you were joining the Pride in 2018 and you have been a rock for our defense. I’m ready to see you back in #4! Aside from the fact you’re so enjoyable to watch on the field, off the field you’re just as amazing. You’re a cheerful, upbeat person who I will always support. Sending so much love.

-- Meredith

Maybe it’s the Canadian in you, but one of the first things that comes to mind when I think of you is ‘always genuinely kind and happy’. I can’t imagine this team without you on it. The love you have for this club and the Orlando community as a whole warms my heart as a fan. You’re a vital part of our defense and it’s a privilege to get to watch you play on both the Pride and the Canadian national team. I love how the joy you radiate on and off the field is for sure a positive force for this team. Can’t wait to see you back in purple in 2021! – Dani

Shelina, you are such a joy to watch in our backline. I had started watching you way before you came to the pride, and when you signed I was so excited for you to join. You are such an amazing and important person to our club, and I don’t know what we would do without you. You are always positive and uplifting during our lowest of times; you know just what to do to put a smile on our faces. I know how excited you were to play this season, and i’m sorry this happened to you guys. You’re an incredible player and person and I can’t wait to see you back on the field. All my love. - Lauren

Shelina, I just want to say I am so incredibly sorry that your season was taken away from you after so much hard work and dedication. This team is such a family and you have always been one of the players I looked up to and admired greatly. There is truly no doubt in my mind that you all will come back from this so much better and stronger. Not only are you such an incredible player, you are also an amazing person and I have always admired your hard work and love for the game. We are so lucky to have someone like you on the pride and I hope you know how loved you are!!! Sending you so much love and many hugs. Always here to cheer you on. -Allie

Shelina, as someone who has been watching both international soccer as well as the NWSL for a while, it’s been so fun to see you play on the Pride. You fit in so seamlessly and I knew the backline this year was going to be new and improved. You’re also such a great role model and are so valued by younger players, especially in Canada. Even with this unexpected turn of events, I hope you know that the fans are so proud of everything you’ve accomplished and your ability to adapt to changes during this weird year. So excited to see you anchoring the defense in 2021! -Mia

I can’t wait to see you back in purple! You’re probably the main reason I watch the Canadian team, and it really sucks that you won’t be able to play for your club or your country until probably 2021. I’m so sorry that you lost your season like this. On the field, you’re an incredibly skilled defender who is truly a HUGE asset to this team. Off of the field, you seem like one of the sweetest, kindest people on this planet. In 2021, I will be looking forward to watching you play again. You’re so strong, I know that you’ll be coming back better than ever. Sending tons and tons of love. --Ana Lise
