As a future UCF Knight, I was so excited to see you play for us!! Also, you instantly became my favorite rookie, your infectious energy and your experience with the Reggae Girlz showed us that it was pretty clear you belonged in this club. I’ve been a fan of this club since it was founded when I was just 13, it’s heartbreaking that this year has not turned out the way you planned, but I hope that you come to love this club and see how special of a place it is for many of us. You guys will get through this and come back stronger. This community is here for you guys, always. Take care of yourself physically and mentally because we will be cheering you on the loudest when we’re finally able to see you step on the field!! -- A.
I was rooting so hard for you to be chosen as one of our draft picks this off season and I’ve been excited to see you in purple! You are an inspiration to me and so many others on and off the field and it’s amazing how much you’ve already accomplished at such a young age. Your heart and passion for this game shines through in everything you do and I’m sure you’ll be an important part of leading this team to victory next season. Even though your first year in the NWSL hasn’t gone as planned, I just know that you have an amazing career before you and I hope that you’ll stay with this team for a long time. – Dani
Watching you lead the Jamaican team during the World Cup and seeing your potential as a player made me so excited when the Pride made the decision to draft you. I knew how much you could improve and absorb from this team and improve your game but also add something the Pride needed. I am really sad that we don’t get to see you play for the Pride just yet, but I know when the time comes you will smash. Bring it on - Georgia
I remember watching you play for UCF last season and seeing how incredible of a player you are. Once you were drafted, I was super excited that another Knight would be a part of this team and knew you would be a perfect fit. Although we might have to wait a bit longer to see you play, I am still as excited to see you out on the field representing Pride and know you’ll be incredible. – Juliana
I was so beyond excited to see you playing in purple this year! I had seen you in a few games for the Reggae Girlz, and when I heard your name called in the draft, I could barely believe it. I can’t wait to see you on the pitch for the Pride, but until then, know that the entire fanbase is behind you and supporting you during this hard time. Sorry that your first pro season turned out like this, but best of luck for next year and beyond! --Ana Lise
You have NO idea how excited I was when I heard you would be joining the pride! I had seen you play and I know how amazing you are... I'm thrilled you're gonna be part of this incredible group and I know you're gonna kill it once you get on the field! You are an incredible and inspiring woman, I have heard so many great things about you as a player and I'm counting the days to watch you being your extraordinary self on the pitch again! I'm so excited for you! -Akemi (Dolly)
Konya! Your presence and personality are infectious, the Pride fans were so incredibly excited to see you shine in Orlando this year. Watching you lead the Jamaican team in France was a highlight of the tournament for me, the joy and tenacity you and the Reggae Girlz showed were so special. We're the same age, but seeing the things you've accomplished and the way you leverage your platform to impact football in Jamaica has opened my eyes to social change through sport and inspired me to get more involved in my community. I'm looking forward to continuing to learn from your humility and strength off the pitch until I have the chance to support you in purple next season! Sending you strength and love in the meantime :)
